Simulated altitude training is designed to mimic the effects of training at high altitudes with less oxygen in the air.
While sea level air contains around 20-22% oxygen, ALE simulated high altitudes generally contain around 13-15% oxygen.
When the body is in an oxygen reduced environment, whether at rest or training, it is stimulated to adapt by enhancing the various ways it uses oxygen to produce energy.
In turn this boosts our body’s efficiency, improving the way the heart and lungs function, in addition to the way muscles and organs use fuel. Through regular training in an altitude environment comes adaptations both physically and mentally, in addition to increased performance.
Altitude Training has been vastly researched, with a number of benefits associated:
ALE have developed advanced altitude training solutions to enhance and improve performance for Elite Sporting organisations. Conversions can be made to an existing room and can be tailored to up to 50 individuals.
Through regular training in an altitude environment, the human body is exposed to a surrounding that helps physical and mental adaption to perform more efficiently. ALE works exclusively with the worlds largest altitude group fitness franchise to bring altitude training to the masses.
A number of equine stables now use simulated altitude for both conditioning and rehabilitation. ALE offer altitude systems for spaces from 30m3, to combine active and passive protocols with world class product.
Hypoxic training can offer several potential benefits to UFC fighters looking to enhance their performance and conditioning. Our altitude units can be inbuilt into various UFC training facilities to increase oxygen utilisation efficiency.
Simulated altitude training can benefit many elite sectors of defence, from Commando units, SAS, Army Training units to elite navy divers. Our altitude units can be inbuilt into various defence training facilities to increase oxygen utilisation efficiency.
Many universities are equipped with an altitude or climate chamber. ALE is not only specialised in altitude but is able to combine the altitude training with temperature and humidity control designed for specific research parameters.
